Bio
Tony Oommen is a Vice President and Private Wealth Management Advisor for the Private Wealth Management division of Fidelity Investments. He has had a varied set of experiences in his 25 years in the wealth management and philanthropic advisory worlds, having worked in the past under the broker dealer, independent RIA and private bank models for wealth management advice delivery to HNW & UHNW clients. Most recently, he was a Charitable Planning Consultant for Fidelity Charitable, the nation’s largest Donor Advised Fund program and largest grantmaking organization.
Tony has been quoted in many national publications, including the Wall Street Journal, TheStreet.com, MarketWatch, Think Advisor, WealthManagement.com, Trust & Estates, CNBC.com, AARP.com, Financial Advisor Magazine, Kiplinger, Money Magazine and Investor’s Business Daily.
He authored the philanthropy chapter in the textbook, Tools & Techniques of Estate Planning for Modern Families (3rd edition).
Tony is very active in the advisory and philanthropic communities in Chicago. He currently serves on the board of directors of both the Chicago Estate Planning Council and the DuPage County Estate Planning Council. He also serves on professional philanthropic advisory committees for Lurie Children’s Hospital, Greenhouse Scholars, and WTTW/WFMT.
He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designations.
