    Ryan Kennedy, CFA - Partner and Portfolio Manager

    Ryan supports Curi RMB Capital’s private markets strategies, with a focus on private equity and real estate. He examines investments across asset classes and researches new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Curi RMB Capital in 2016, Ryan worked at Northern Trust, the Townsend Group (now an Aon Company), and Morgan Stanley. He earned a B.S. in Finance and a minor in Political Science from Santa Clara University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a CFA Charterholder and an active member of the CFA Society of Chicago.

    Pam Lucina is the Chief Fiduciary Officer for Northern Trust and leads their Trust & Advisory Practice.  As President of The Northern Trust Institute, Pam works to assist clients and Northern Trust partners in achieving their goals through the use of world class tools and techniques while keeping an eye on the human element of wealth and family dynamics. 

    Prior to joining Northern, Pam was with BNY Mellon where she held the national role of Executive Director for their Wealth Management Advice, Planning and Fiduciary Services practice.  Before that she was with JPMorgan providing wealth and estate planning services, and also spent 10 years in private practices as a tax consultant with Arthur Andersen, and in the trusts and estates departments of both Levin Schreder and Mayer Brown law firms.

    Pam has a strong background in wealth, tax, philanthropic and business owner planning; she also brings expertise in next generation education, governance and global family office matters. 

    She is a recognized leader and speaker within the Estate and Trust legal community.

    She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).  Pam is a member of the National Services Leadership Team, and the Wealth Management Executive Leadership Team. These groups oversee the direction of our Wealth Management Business.

    Pam earned her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Business Administration and Management (BS) and her Doctor of Law (JD), Taxation from DePaul University.

    Pam is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Lincoln Park Zoo, and a member of the Planned Giving Board for The Hadley School for the Blind. She is a frequent speaker and has been featured on CNBC & Bloomberg, and quoted in Dow Jones, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron’s, Forbes, MarketWatch, Crain’s Chicago Business, U.S. News & World Report & Business Insider.

    Estate planners and others in helping professions are at risk for experiencing compassion fatigue. Especially those with high caseloads and those with a high capacity for empathy are at risk for experiencing compassion fatigue. 


    Participants in this program will: 

    ·  Learn what Compassion Fatigue is.

    ·   Understand why lawyers, trust officers, financial planners and others are vulnerable to Compassion Fatigue.

    ·   Learn professional hazards that contribute to Compassion Fatigue.

    ·   Learn how to become a more resilient professional.

    ·   Learn methods to enhance or deplete professionals from a systemic viewpoint; and

    ·   Learn coping strategies to minimize Compassion Fatigue and increase health and well-being.

    Dr. Diana Uchiyama joined LAP in 2018. Prior to joining LAP, she was the Administrator of Psychological Services for DuPage County where she oversaw a DASA licensed substance use treatment program, including a MISA program, and DHS Domestic Batterer Intervention Program for a court mandated population of clients. Dr. Uchiyama has also worked for the Kane County Diagnostic Center, as both a Staff Psychologist and Juvenile Drug Court Coordinator, and has an extensive background doing court ordered psychological, sanity, fitness, and sex offender evaluations and therapy. She has implemented numerous changes to court ordered programs both in Kane and DuPage County and is a certified trauma informed care trainer. Prior to obtaining her masters and doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Dr. Uchiyama was an Assistant Public Defender in Cook County working in various felony courtrooms at 26th and California. She obtained her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. duchiyama@illinoislap.org
