Succession planning for closely held businesses involves far more than identifying a successor - it requires careful coordination of multi-disciplinary professionals to address entity structure, valuation and liquidity planning, tax planning, and governance. In this session, we will examine succession planning through an integrated advisory lens, with a focus on how business, tax, and estate planning intersect. The presentation will address common planning structures, valuation and timing considerations, income and transfer tax implications, and the roles various advisors play throughout the process. Attendees will gain practical insights to enhance their own succession planning strategies and to more effectively advise clients on implementing durable, tax‑efficient transition plans aligned with long‑term estate and legacy objectives.
